Ombralus, an entirely Italian project sharing its heart and soul between Milan and the Langhe, redefines the concept of design and furnishing space through timeless and inimitable works, created using the precision and elegance of laser cutting.

The goal? To recreate and reinterpret any situation, moment, object, or concept through unique and customizable plays of light and shadow and unexplored tactile and visual experiences.

Exploiting a new dimension of design, Ombralus products will give soul and meaning to your spaces, creating something never seen before.

Designer

Roberto Marmo

He was born in 1973 in Canelli (Asti) where he obtained his black belt in Karate and his diploma as a Mechanical Expert.

He began his apprenticeship in the family business, Marmo Snc, working in all departments: from shearing to bending, from punching to welding.

Upon returning from military service, he and his brother Paolo founded Marmo Laser Snc, a sheet metal cutting company. This is where the management side of his business began: cutting and bending production, elevator assembly, and the technical office, before moving on to research and development. He focused on new safety guards, improving them and patenting the Guard, TEC mesh guards, and "Access Guard" for controlled employee access during the Covid period.

Innovation achieved with time and method improves the company's positioning, but the desire to achieve better results shifts the focus to the need for a structured organization to launch new projects.

Thus begins a new training path because "if you only do what you know how to do, you will never be more than you are now."
The first two brands are born, with specialized teams: “Guard” for protections and “Elevatoreunico” for power supplies.

Finally, in collaboration with the Milanese communications agency Nebula Strategy, Roberto launched a new project, infusing his passion for metal creations into the OMBRALUS brand. An independent entity, created to make dreams come true and inspire emotions.

And once again… “To infinity and beyond.”

Architect

Claudio Cassano

Ha conseguito la laurea in Architettura nel 1991 all’Università di Genova e svolge attività di interior designer progettando stand, interni di case, negozi e mostre. Cresciuto professionalmente nell’ ambiente industriale, ha effettuato numerosi allestimenti di fiere e mostre, lavorando a contatto con Paolo Lomazzi dello studio De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi di Milano.

Dal 1992 ha curato gli allestimenti degli stand ZERODISEGNO, il brand della Quattrocchio dedicato alle collezioni di arredamento di design, in diverse edizioni del Salone del Mobile di Milano, di New York, di Parigi e di Colonia e del Fuori Salone di Milano.

Dal 1993 al 2011 ha progettato ed allestito spazi col sistema costruttivo modulare OREZERO nei Saloni internazionali dei sistemi espositivi (Euroshop di Dusseldorf, Exhibitor Show di Las Vegas), nonché nelle fiere dell’oggettistica per la casa Macef, Abitami di Milano, Abitare il tempo di Verona, Maison et Objet e Now di Parigi e nei Saloni dell’ufficio come l’Orgatec di Colonia, il Neocon di Chicago e il Future show di Milano.

Dal 1992 al 2011 si è occupato dello sviluppo aziendale di mobili di design della collezione ZERODISEGNO, progettati da Gaetano Pesce, da Marco Ferreri, da Karim Rashid, da Denis Santachiara e da Alessandro Mendini.

Dal 2007 svolge attività di consulenza tecnica per la Marmoinox, azienda produttrice di macchinari ed elementi in acciaio, curando gli allestimenti degli spazi e degli stand aziendali e disegnando oggetti per la casa utilizzando la tecnologia del taglio laser e la piegatura in lastra.
